Indonesian V.tahitensis grade-A beans are plump, moist, rich in vanillin oil and caviar. When you first open a pouch of this vanilla, your nose will be met with an aroma that is bold, and teases allspice, orange and blackberry. When you remove the first bean from the pouch and bring it to your nose, the distinct vanilla base will present itself with hints of tropical flowers, reminiscent of the paradise where the bean is grown. Also a reminder that these durable little vanilla beans come from a delicate, beautiful orchid.
(This is the Indonesian coast line of Sentani. A beautiful tropical paradise in the "Bean Belt" where vanilla beans can be harvested year-round.)
On average, there are 6-10 beans/oz depending on the moisture content of the specific batch of vanilla beans. Pricing reflects current market conditions and will be updated as market prices change.
